05 Scion xB - manual transmission - 142K miles. I have been having some difficulty switching gears (getting in, not out) lately, especially at lower speeds. I do not feel any change in the action of the clutch when I press it in although sometimes if I really push down, I can get it into gear but that may be just in my head. Another weird thing is that sometimes when I try to put the car in reverse from a cold start, the gears grind - this only happens when I shift to reverse. I found the remedy for this is to put the car in first, then reverse. I might feel a little jump but I can get it into gear. This problem comes and goes but is slowly happening more often. It just feels like things are out of line or somthing. Any ideas?
