How do I remove the fuel tank on a 2000 Ford Contour? The fuel pump is bad.

what make you think fuel pump is bad.ignition module will stop fuel pump through pump relay.before you go through that trouble does it have spark if not start their.that model is noted for distrubitor pick failure and ignition module failure.

IT HAS SPARK AT PLUGS AND YOU CAN HERE FUEL PUMP OPERATE WHEN KEY IS FIRST TURNED.

when you turn on key fuel pump operates for a few seconded suppose to come to a stop until you start then pump will start again pumping fuel .if pump was bad it will not operate in any condition.i would check fuel filter might be pluged or a damaged wire under car or fuel line leak. .the distributor in this car is note for sensor pickup problem in hot engine condition does this ignition module attached to side of this dist little square box bolted on side.i had this model car once with same problem my was fuel pump relay a month later then the ignition module.
