My hull ID number is not stamped into the fiberglass like most other boats.
I have a Alum. tag with Scottie craft corp. year built 1970 m-410 27'
I'm pretty sure that m-410 the "M" stands for Miami and 410 is the hull number.

CAPT dre17 - where is the alum tag located on your boat exactly ? I'll see if I can spot it on mine.

Hey Thanks Beameup - now we have the location where they were built. I posted a photo of my 28/29 ft ScottyCraft earlier. Take a look - does it look like the one you have?
So far - I installed 2 Crusader FWC 270 engines - V drive. My boat has a velvet drive trans with a universal shaft connecting to the V gear box. A very smooth set-up - no vibration.
I am having an electrical issue with the original harness ( 2 station ) All the sending units and the gauges are brand new from Teleflex and all match. Both engines have new raw water impellers and thermostats. Both run at about 158-160 degrees checked with a infrared gun. Port engine temp gauge reads 150 while starboard engine reads 190. Teleflex was no help. I might have to replace harnesses.
Other than that - she is in pretty good shape and is very seaworthy in rough water.
I too will share whatever other info I find.
Good luck.

Hi Captdre, Salfd, SWHouston,
I am not computer savvy, so i'll try to convince my daugther to take a picture and post it. The boat does look like the one salfd has posted except it does not have the flybridge or back railing. I'll probably install a railing, but with all of the hurricane preparations and being that i am a truck driver it is going to be a slow process, I am still cleaning it from 35 yrs of dust and grime. I'll keep you posted.

does your Scottie have port holes in the V-berth like SALFD shows in the picture? My 27' looks just like the one pictured with no port holes and no flybridge. It seems like with the addition of port holes it gives you more head room.
I'll try to post pictures of mine also.

Hi guys - CAPT and Beameup - do either of your Scotties have a refrigerator built in - anywhere ??
My Scotty has a sink/cabinet setup on the left side in the cuddy area - and a stand-up shower/sink combo in the head on the right side of the cuddy area - then forward of those are the V bunks - CAPT - I believe I sent you inside shots.
I have been looking really hard for a very small refrigerator ( 110 volt is OK ) to keep some drinks cold on board while on shore power. The smallest one I can find is 1.7 cubic ft. but even that is a little too big for the space I have - unless I tuck it under the table in the lower cock-pit area. Any ideas are welcome.
Thank you, Sal

No fridge or sink, I only have a v-berth one bunk on each side no standing room only hunched over to stand. Some scottie 27' come with a convertable table and bench seats on port side and a stove/sink behind the drivers seat, this all is under the hardtop. under my hardtop is one captian chair and thats all.
I think the longer scotties have an extra area between where you drive and where you sleep, This is where i think the fridge and sink cabinet is.
BEAM ME UP SCOTTIE GOOD NAME FOR YOUIR SCOTTIE CRAFT.

Thanks CAPT dre - Not that bringing a cooler down with ice etc is a big bother - but it would be nice if I could install a small one somewhere out of the way. I do have a lot or space behind the lower helm chair. I'll think of something.
Yes - good name Beameup. !

I did good with Gustav I only had one of my three garage doors blow out but caught it before it got damaged too bad. I was worried about my north east wall was bowing in looked like it was ready to blow in, we braced it and did well.
Sounds like you boat is like the 28 or 29 ft. pictured in this forum.
I'm going to post my pictures maybe later today or tomorrow.

Did good, this morning was pretty bad being that the eye of the storm is 258 miles away. most of the feeder bands are gone, every hour or so we get 10 mins. of rain.
It almost was as bad as Gustav, at least it seemed that way.
been trying to post a pic of my Scottie, but the file must be too big, too many bytes.
Hold on Houston !!!!!!!!
Good Luck

CAPT - I am sure glad the storm passed without doing harm. It was our turn here in NJ last week with Hanna but it fizzled out - we had worse thunder storms.
Anyway - would like to see your boat and Beameup's - I don't know what programs you use, but there are some real nice free ones out there that do resizing. One is Irfanview the other is GIMP. Irfanview mainly for Windows machines - GIMP is a Linux program but has a Windows version too.
You probably need to get them aroun=d the 512 K to 1 meg in size.
Don't worry about downloading them - they are safe. Computers - Networking etc - is my profession.
Look into Picasa - free from Google - with a Free Gmail account - you can upload Pics to their website and invite people to view them. Works real good.
Anyway - Glad to hear you are safe from the storm.

Hi everybody. My name is Mike and I had a chance to purchase a Scotty Craft today. A lady was practically giving it away. The problem is that it dont look anything like any Scotty I have seen. The lady said her grandfather was rebuilding the (as in 1) straight 6 V6, which doesnt make sense, when he died.
She sent me the following pictures and promised me the boat if I wanted. I wanted to see if ya'll knew anything about it first. The boat is going so cheap that it just didnt make sense not to buy it as the trailer is worth the price. When I did any research on the boat, the smallest I found for the year model was 29 ft, however the pic doesnt look 29 to me. By the way she said the year model is 68.
