I have a 32" panasonic tv manufactured in 1998. trying to brighten picture but have brightness all the way up and its still on the dark side????? objects also seem slightly blurry around the outsides? any suggestions on what could be my problem? thanks Paul...

CRT (tube) is failing. Some repair places will try to revive the tube but risky. 50/50 If they have the jig to do it. Basically it sends high voltage to the heaters and cathods in the tube and arc's off the contaminances. Cheap and give a try, if fails a great reason to get new flat screen as they are so cheap now. Myself, would just go with new TV. Check out how cheap.
