I have a Sony trinitron, model # kv32s42.

The centre of the screen right out close to the edges is 100% perfect for focus.

On the edges, all the way around the outside it is slightly blurred, where you can see the letters and numbers but not clearly.

I have tried to adjust the focus screw in the back of the TV, but it focus' the entire screnn and doesn't do the job I need.

I also have gone into service mode and tried to adjust things, without any change or success.

I'm hoping someone can help.

I've included a pic. It shows how the edges is blurry and even a few inches in from the edge starts to be clearer on the scoreboard on the TV.
Also on the bottom of the pic I noticed when I start my TV that the lines on it are not all the way across...maybe that has something to do with it??

THANKS!!!

hellothere123 welcome to the forum

I have tried to get you the best information/advise possible but almost everywhere I informed I was told the only way to get this solved is to call in a qualified technician.

I'm sorry

Thankyou for trying and putting an effort into it.

Thing is, I can get a TV like this nowadays for about $300.00, so I'd like to fix it myself.

Not sure if its worth fixing if its not just a setting...maybe the guns are out of line...hmm?

Have you perhaps placed it near another electronic equipment (like speakers)? Magnetizing could also be a cause for this symptom...

That could very well be the 'problem' hellothere123 :: How old is it?

I don't think that's old at all

If I were you I would phone their products support dept and ask what they suggest. A television should have a longer lifetime than only 7 years.

Their phone is 1-800-222-7669 or 1-888-772-7669
