WHEN I TURN ON MY TV THE PICTURE IS ABSOLUTELY FINE THEN WITHIN ABOUT 5 SECONDS THE PICTURE SCROLLS ALL THE WAY UP TO THE TOP OF THE SCREEN COVERING ABOUT THE TOP 1/3 OF THE TV AT A WEIRD ANGLE WITH THE SIDES OF THE PICTURE COMING DOWN AT AN ANGLE TOWARD THE CENTER OF THE TV. THE TOP OF THE PICTURE EXTENDS ALL WAY ACROSS THE TOP. THEN WITHIN A FEW MORE SECONDS THE WHOLE SCREEN GOES COMPLETELY BLACK LIKE IT IS OFF. AUDIO WORKS FINE. NO WARNING SIGNS OR PROBLEMS AT ALL BEFORE THIS HAPPENED. ANY ASSISTANCE YOU CAN GIVE ME WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. I'M PRETTY HANDY AND HAVE FIXED MOST ITEMS THAT I CAN ONCE I GET THE NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE AND TOOLS.

Hi Tazz8223 welcome to the forum I hope you will like it here.

There are a multitude of reasons that could be responsible for that, from a faulty capacitor until more complex wrt receivers not functioning.

I know that in this case sometimes it is cheaper to have a (certified) technician do the job.
