HEllo, I have a 95 APV and the tranny just started to act up. I had been driving it all afternoon and then one time I stopped and put it in park it wouldn't go in to reverse. It would barely pull it's self in drive. I let it sit for about 20 min and then I was able to drive it agian. I made it home about 15mi away and then it acted up agian. I have been reading that it could possibly be the TCC solenoid. What do you think?

Also the speedometer stopped working. It would fluctuate and work one time and then I would stop and it wouldn't work at all. Now it doesn't work. What do I need to look for. Thanks.

Greetings micali, welcome to the Forum !!

That sure sounds like a solenoid problem to me, as long as you got plenty of Fluid in it, right?

My first recommendation (coming from a Standard Shift guy ) would be to run some Cleaner in it. Could save you some major cost, and would only require a Fluid and Filter Change later, IF that worked for you.

On the Speedometer problem, I think that model had a Cable, and I get under it, pull the Housting out of the Tailshaft on the Tranny, and check the Gear on it. That may be worn, and it's not a difficult fix, with a used or new gear.

Good luck, and keep us updated on it !

Have a good Day !
