95 neon engine dies

Ok my problem is funny. Now and agine more now then agine as of late.
The car will run for a few then die like someone turned they key off there is no prolonged spit and sputter when it dies just dies. Even going down the road when the car is getting gas it dies causeing the tran to jerk and restart itself sometimes if i dont push cluch it will beat us todeath starting and dieing

Spearbang, that can be so many things Have you checked your fuel pump?

no but i am getting codes from dash. would the fuel pump stop working for short secounds and then run?
Its slmost like the engine just stopes getting fire.

Ok the code from the check engine light is o2 o2 sensor and it at one time gave a code for a map sensor but it was only onces i did this test 4 times and fot o2 all 4 times. So would the o2 cause the car to shut down and start back.
And now its doing it alot its getting hard to drive.

oxygen sensor is responsable for fuel flow to the injectors the engine could be flooding out disconnect negitive cable only reset code back to computor run value , and see if engine will runs if it does for a little while then goes back stalling then change o2 sensor change it anyway.your discription sound like flooding.map sensor is for idle in stop mode will not cause this problem.

Ok today i tested the coil pack and my Question is this the the plug on the coil pack has 3 prongs - - - by the book i sould get .45 what i got was -1 once and the rest of the trys 0.00 could this be my problem. causeing the car to run rich and giveing the false reading of the O2 sensor? if the car only ran on 2 cylenders at times i thik it could do it i dontknow.

ok one more thing i just found the egr valve is missing its electrical egr transducer. I quess they tryed to bypass it. Would this cause the car to die like that? at first it ran and never did that now it dies and if this is the reason then i ask why?
