I have a 97 S10 Blazer with 215k miles on it. Today, it decided not to crank. I noticed that I did not hear the fuel pump prime as usual. Obviously that's most likely what it is. Is there anything else to check that would cause the fuel pump not to prime? Or, is it time for a new fuel pump?

Hi Blalock, welcome to the forum I am not sure but have you checked your fuel injector? If that's open it will allow fuel pressure to drain.

The fuel injectors do not seem to be the problem. It appears that I am not getting fire to the fuel pump. I check and replace the relay as well as the fuse with no avail. The manual suggest checking the voltage at the fuel pump which is on top of the fuel tank. The oil pressure swith may be another avenue. It seems like if the fuel pump was bad it would still attempt to prime; it is strange that it won't even prime-makes me think of something electrical. Any suggestions? I am all ears. Thanks,

Have you checked out the suggestions the manual gives you? I think that might very well be a voltage problem - now you mentioned it.
