Our 1998 Olds Intrigue won't start. We tried jumpimg - no luck. The auto parts place said check fuse links as they go bad on GMs. Where and how? Thanks for any advice.

ancp welcome to the forum I hope you will like it here.

The auto parts place couldn't point you to the location of them? That would have been a matter of 2 seconds just to show you Fuse links can be found only near relay centers and at the starter post where the POSITIVE battery cable is attached.

Thank you for the reply. But how do I test them. Voltage meter? What I read online they were talking about stripping the wires to test... I guess I could go back to the guy as it was a phone conversation and I thoght it would be more obvious. Again, thank you for the reply - luckily it is our backup car! Allie

You might see it is melted for instance (fuse links are made out of wire)
