I've had a 99 passat for an 1 yr, and now the check engine light is on and it's idling rough. I change the spark plugs and 1 of the coils. I took it to the auto repair shop and they put it on the machine but it not reading anything. I took it to 2 repair shop and its they're saying the same thing.

to reset the light, disconnect the battery for about an hour then reconnect, and that should reset the light.
