I've got an Amstrad CKX-100 music keyboard which I can't find a manual or any documentation for, and I'm trying to figure out what voltage/current it needs (it doesn't say anything on the power jack). It runs on 6 C batteries, so I'm guessing it's 9V DC. I tried 9V adaptors of 200 ma and 300 ma, figuring that low currents wouldn't hurt it (is this an ok assumption?), and the "on" light would flash on for a moment but nothing more. But then my next highest adaptor was 800 ma, which caused all the leds to light up, so I switched it off quickly, worried that it might hurt the keyboard. Anyway, any thoughts of what I should do? Is this 800 ma behavior a sign of too much current, or not enough?

Hello Seilee1, welcome to the forum. Since it will be guess-work as to the voltage I strongly advise you to ask the only ones who can know and those are Amstrad themselves. Since your profile doesn't state where you live I can only give you a link to the general customer services and contacts. I hope they can help you,

Thanks for the reply, Jeffie. I actually ended up emailing a guy who ran one of the few sites that talks about the keyboard, and he quickly got back to me with the info, so now I'm all set.
