My outside condenser unit just stopped working and all I heard was a buzzing noise from the contactor. I realized that the ends of the contactor were covered in dead ants and after cleaning them the problem is fixed. So my condenser is now working again, but I still hear a loud buzzing from it when it is running. My question is if this is normal or should I replace the contactor? Thank you.

Mstruttm, welcome to the forum. I hope you will like it here.

If the buzzing is still there after you cleaned the problem that caused the condenser not to work, perhaps it is coming from the compressor. Did you have a look at that yet?
