After having installed a new ceiling fan I found it doesn't work. I suspect it is due to lack of power. strange, because when I removed the old one, there was power.
How do I find what the problem is?

did you hook it up right. white to white black to black etc. maybe you have a defective fan. does it have a light kit. did you rememeber to turn the power back on or check to see if it tripped.
