I recently bought an Akai GX 625 reel to reel tape deck. Mechanically and cosmetically it seems to be in excellent condition. However, when I try to play a known good tape on it, there is no audio output, and no activity on the meters whatsoever. Any suggestions? And if this is nothing simple, can anyone recommend a good, trustworthy Akai repair person? I'm in the greater Cleveland Ohio area. Thanks!
