I have a Asko washing machine that is 3 weeks old and I am not satisfied and stumped with the fact that it is leaving many of my clothes pily or burly- meaning it comes out after the wash cycle with little balls all of it- completley. It's like it is washed to hard and htis is even on the gentle cycle. I can't keep washing my clothes in this!

yes and a service man has been out- he does not see anything wrong but is calling the company himself...he wonders about our water- it seeems to be harder than it should be (based on what he sees inside other appliances-our dishwasher)and that will be checked next week by professionals that installed our water softener. Could hard water cause such a problem?? thanks for your quick response.

Well, yes. Hard water could indeed have this effect. But, then your previous washing machine would have had the same problem. Did it? Or, perhaps this washing machine is less sophisticated to deal with hard water...
