Vintage Kenmore washer has a cold water trickle but normal hot water flow when filling. I have been using warm water for both wash and rinse,to save time, which elevated my electric bill considerably. I like this washer because I can extend the agitation period by leaving the lid up and re-setting the dial to get cleaner laundry using one filling. Can this problem be solved for a reasonable cost without having to purchase a new washer?
