Hey everyone.

I'm attempting to do a belt replacement on an Ariens ST824. I'm all through with it. Got the belts on the correct way and the unit is put back together. The problem is my auger drive belt keeps slipping off the auger pulley. Not sure if that's what it's called, but it's the big wheel that's directly connected to the auger assembly. To change the belts, I had to remove the auger assembly and put it back on. Just can't see why it's not all lining up correctly now. Is this normal? Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Hello Suthrncomfrt, welcome to the forum. I hope you will like it here

It is a known 'tricky' thing - the reassembling of the assembly. Do you have the manual still? (as I was told there seems to be pretty accurate description for this action)

No, but I've looked at the manual online. It doesn't seem to tell me much that I don't already know. Thanks though.

Would disintegrating the whole thing over again and building it back in seem an option? Maybe you went wrong somewhere. . .
