Bad sounds in front end.

I have had a problem with my 98 escort zx2, about 110000 miles, manual trans. Whenever I let off the gas in gear or go into neutral to coast the front end makes almost a clicking sound, mild vibration in the wheel, when i start to accelerate again everything is fine. Any ideas?

sounds like one of your axles constant volicity joints is comming apart common on excort.highly recommon stop driving this car know have fix asap like yesterday.also this model is noted for lower ball joint comming apart. this car is really a mazada 262 right up to last day of production 1995
