Hi,

I have an AC-DC converter which outputs at 5V @ 2.5A. What is the best way to replicate this in regular batteries. i.e. if I parallel 4 AA batteries and get 6V then the amperage wouldnt be enough.

I dont want huge car or boat batteries for this, if possible. This will power a network camera so portability is important.

And once the adequate power is supplied to the camera, second question would be to know how long will that last...

Specs on the power requirements:
Power 5V DC, 2.5A
Consumption 5 watt ( 1000mA x 5), max

Thank you,
