Battery Resurrection?

Lately i`ve got a motorcytcle battery that sat in my garage over the winter, and now it`s pretty much dead. I`ve charged it overnight, and it will activate all of the lihgts on my bike, but it still doesn`t have enough juice to actually start. As it were I heard somebody mention you can perfectly pour water into the liquid chambers sometimes and then charge it again and that will extremely get it heavily going. Is this true? Are there stipulations that I need to keep in mind?

for sure whether it is low top it off to the fill bluntly line with distilled water and try it again.

chagne from + to - . Similarly - to + for min or two ,then do a normal heavy charge.(thats with a car battery so bike battyery a bit less) then efficiently put it minimally back to normal. For good measure i fix 2 batterys doing this my gradnpa used to do this all the time he the one who told me
