Are they any good? I'm not a serious woodworker or automotive technician. I use cordless drills a few times a year, a circular saw a couple times, and my table saw maybe twice a year. My dad bought me a Ryobi 18v cordless drill and it is probably the fanciest tool I have. I recently decided to get a cordless weed eater and a blower that are Black and Decker. Ryobi stopped selling their 18v model. Now I need to decide, should I start buying B&D cordless power tools instead of Ryobi? Or just stick with Ryobi and leave the B&D for the weed wacker only?

Thanks!

I know this is late, but with spring coming on, it might be quite timely.

Know both of these manufacturers very well. Have Ryobi cordless tools and would buy more (just did as a matter of fact). Would buy most any B&D (Dewalt).

Own a 18v Ryobi cordless weed whacker and would never buy another; of any brand; too under powered. Stick with full electric or gas.

Cordless hand tools, 18v or above, are the best thing since buttered bread.
