I rebuilt a 1977 Chevy Corvette engine and it blow blue smoke all the time. Lots at start up, and continues all the time it runs. not sure if the rings have seated or not. is there a way to seat them, or maybe i have a differant problem. any help??

Blue smoke is a definite sign of something being wrong with the oil burning. Is everything OK with the piston-blow-by, valvestem-seals, and/or piston rings?

definitly one of the above problems most likely valve seals if it smokes alot after start up.
