Breaker will not reset untill main is shut off and turned back on.

the only reason a breaker blows is something on that line is shorted.when you turn off main gives breaker time to cool off to reset.disconnected wires or equippment most of the time will not blow breaker even though circuit is not working.stands reason disconnect everything on that line reset breaker.if it pops then wiring over head light ceiling fan or out let,wall switch etc,etc,etc got it.
