I've always wanted a floor fountain, but just can't see paying up (or over) $2,000 for one, so I decided to go at it myself. There are a few questions I have. Attached is a picture of a floor fountain just so you can et an idea of what I'm talking about. The one I'm wanting to build is a little different. I don't want it to flow into rocks. I'm going to have it go into an open basin of water where there will also be a water mister to give a neat effect.

For the back (the part the water runs down, I'm looking at a piece of black plexiglass about 6.5-7ft tall, 3.5-4ft. Would you recommend something else other than plexiglass? I'm going to pour cement into the bottom of the water basin and place the plexiglass inside of it and let it dry.

My main question is after I hook up the pump what do I plumb the other end of the pipe to? What do they use to let the water trickle down? And also what would the best way to hide it be?
Thanks!
Joe
