I have a portable air con unit and what im looking at doing is running the pipe through the celing and along the loft and out on a wall from the loft. The thing is the total length of the pipe from the unit will be approx 5 metres long. Will the unit be able to cope with this or is there any other way that I can do it.
I was looking at making the pipe in the loft bigger and also putting an extractor fan on the wall to outside so it can extract it out. The unit is 12000 btu with pressure suction of 18kgf/sq.cm and discharge of 36kgf/sq.cm

Welcome to this forum, Tweacle - I hope you will enjoy it here.

Unfortunately I don't own a portable airco and have never encountered this question before, but everywhere I read I see that 'installators' charge extra for pipes exceeding 5 meters for 12000 btu portable airco's - so my guess is that it will do just fine.
