Hi, I am new to this forum. I was wondering if anyone could help with this. I came across an article today about a guide to making you own solar panels for your home. Supposedly for under two hundred bucks. Does anyone know if this is possible? Any help would be appreciated.

Sure it's possible, all a solar panel is is a bunch solar cells wired in parallel and series (depending on desired output in voltage and amperage, and the source solar cells)

Different size/ type cells provide different voltage and current levels. Wire appropriately, and Walla! you have a solar panel!

Getting the cells is the expensive part, but doesn't cost as much as you might think.

Depending on your application, the other expensive things will be regulator/inverters/ charge controllers, etc.
