Car Christmas Lights

Hey guys, im looking for a way to convert a set of LED Christmas lights to run off my jeeps cigarette lighter. they are a set of 60 lights that run off 120Volt 60Hz AC. Now im pretty sure me soldering the neg and pos wires to a car charger is not gonna work, how do i convert them to run of dc and what volt charger should i use? and if all else fails, can i use batteries?

my preference is an inverter seen them for less than 20 bucks oh and by the way some states frown on christmas lights on the car if they do make them all yellow and say their marker lights happy holidays
