My house has had chain link fence around the yard since my parents bought it. We started removing the fence last year, and so far it has been very successful. Most of the yard the neighbor has his own wood fence, and the chain link still ran along side it.

There is a part where his wood fence ends, and the chain link continues out. We would like to keep the chan link where the wood fence does not continue, but we need to cut the pipe that used to run along top of the fence to where we want it to begin.

What would be the best way to cut this? We don't have the space needed to cut the pipe with a pipe cutter. I was thinking just throwing a blade that cuts through metal in my reciprocating saw and going at it with that.

Any thoughts about this?

Hi Stealth,
I think the best tool for cutting this metal would be an angle grinder. The small abrasive disc which spins at high speed can be used for cutting as well as removing the burrs from the cut metal.
Make sure that you use protective gloves and goggles and that you have a secure stance as the sparks will fly!

Hope this helps
