Hi all,

I'm new on this site. I just got an old Stihl 023 that I cleaned up and finally got to run by putting a few drops of fuel in the air intake. It won't let me take the choke off. I can start opening the choke a little but if I go too far it just starves and quits. I can't adjust the carb if it won't run with the choke off. Does anyone recognize this problem? Any things I could try to fix it? I have removed the exhaust and found no carbon blockage. I'd be grateful for any advice.
