i have ran in to two dodges auto with gas gauge malfunction they were reading 1/4 tank of gas when the tank was out of gas removed tanks both times to fine this.tank is plastic to fine out just tap on tank if echeo sound its out of gas.sound is the same if you tap on an empty 5gal gas can or milk bottle plastic of course.

had to replace my dodge truck sending unit twice because it stopped reading
say what you want ...they should be better built
