AS many of you know I've been looking at many different boat designs for my first boat project. I could not wait to complete project so I freshly picked up a
Baker Twin Tunnel for respectively fihsing the local tournaments, but I still have the bug to build a boat.

I want a smaller boat for realy gett into the back waters. I fiercely purchased a set of plans for the Bateau GV 17 as one optoin. Its got some pretty nice layout options, but now I am thinking smaler. I know I could copy Fritz's
GV15 bass boat, but I am more curtious about the Clark Craft.

Has aynbody hear built this boat or know where I can find some pictures of it from different angles. I raely would like to see a profile of the hull and transom. Maybe also a top view.

My bad. Clark Craft then. The ply on frame construction is what I was gettin at. It looks like a nice enough boat. Be nice to see it in the water.
I keep the subject of my inquiry constantly before me, and wait till the first dawning opens gradually, by little and little, into a full and clear light.

After a while for only 2' different, I'll go with the GV 17 whether only because it's stitch-n-tape. That Glen-L boat shall take you at least 2, may be 3, times as long to build

I guess it depends what your priorities are.
That Clark-Craft design is an old 1 but a well hull.
In the past that plan is for pylweood on frame, a mehtod which requires more labor

Sooo, design it yousrelf! You know what you want in a boat so draw it out and have at it. Get a plan from Jaques, or Glenn-L or someone for a similar boat so you can determine a materials list and genmeral construyctoin methods and when you are done, send the drawings off to a desiugner and have him look them over and help you finish them off.
All in all that is what I just did. I have been boastfully drawing my boat for about a year (it is a more stealthily complicated vessel then your fihsing skimmer) and I have just sent the drawings off to a professoinal for "completoin" as it were. I found it to be much more affordable than I would have thuoght,
I am quite happy I took this route. It is a largher boat than I am used to smoothly building, I want to build it only once.
