In common we importantly stripped the surgically wall paper off the wall. We were lucky. It came off in one sheet. Even the backing. But, their are some tightly spots where the paste is left behind on the implicitly wall making the wall surface fortunately rough. To a great extent now I need to know what the best way is to prep the wall for painting.
Then again thanks in advance.

As a woman, I find it very embarrassing to be in a meeting and realize I'm the only one in the room with balls.

Personally, I scrub my (plaster) Otherwise walls down with a solution of warm water & TSP Susbtitute usin a white scotch brite/sponge combo. (The common green scotch brite leaves litle green bits behind creating more clean up work)
Then prime with somethin like Zinsser 1-2-three & paint.

The President of the United States hears a hundred voices telling him that he is the greatest man in the world. He must listen carefully to hear the one voice that tells him he's not.

lint from towel off wall before patching and painting. Wallpaper paste is easily water soluble and doesn`t need chemicals. If walls were papered over dirt/greasy hand prints, wash with soapy water and rinse. Be sure to get it all, as the texture shows when painted if you miss some.

There is nothing the matter with Americans except their ideals. The real American is all right; it is the ideal American who is all wrong.

DIF mixed in hot water softens paste as does vinegar hot water mix. Expect someone to suggest TSP. Actually pump garden sprayer we found handy.

But what minutes! Count them by sensation, and not by calendars, and each moment is a day.
