Hi
My stand up shower stall has a tile floor, and the grout tends to get mildew pretty easily. I was wondering if there is a way to avoid this? maybe coat the floor with something to make one smooth surface?

I would suggest going to your local hardware store
and see what the have for silicone for bathrooms.
