I have a Craftmans Garage Door Opener Model: 139.53960. It was working fine until yesterday. When I try to close it is not closing, But the light bulb is blinking 10 times.
I checked the motion sensor.I do not see any light ( not even yellow) in the right side sensor.Othe side is yellow.
Can any one please tell me what can be done to fix it.
Thanks

the ten blinks just indicates that the two sensors are not reading. Either 1 or both are not working. Go to the side that is not lit up and fiddle with the wire where it is spliced to the eye. I can almost bet it is not a good connection. Splice it back if you have to. Once you get a solid connection, the light will come on and the other eye will read the laser and all will work well. Hope that helps.

Sounds like you have the newer version of Sears Craftsman garage door opener. In that case, one sensor has a green light and the other has an amber light. My guess is that one of them has gone bad. Seems like they get bumped by the kids a lot and can go bad so have had to replace them a couple times. Found some at http://www.stardoorparts.com/ Liftmaster_Craftsman_safety_sensor_repair_kit_p/ 41a5034.htm The price was about 25% less than retail. Should solve your problem. They are easy to replace.
