I was wondering if anyone had a good idea / recommendation for a rigid frame to be built around a cube-shaped aquarium I am trying to build. So far, I have built the cube of plexiglass and caulked it with 100% silicon.

I was planning to build a rigid frame around the edges of the cube to provide additional structural stability, and to prevent give (lets say, if the cube was filled with water) and prevent any chance of the silicon caulk giving out. Hopefully the frame will pleasing to the eyes as well . My original thought was wood, but i'm open to any recommendations; Ideally something affordable and relatively easy to work with.

Thanks for your suggestions,
Mike P.S. Photos will be uploaded if anyone is interested.
