I have a 2002 Mazda Protege. I recently put HID lights in it which are great. However, when I release my park brake, my day time lights usually ran a bit dimmer with my normal halogens. With the HID's, the day time lights do not run steady, instead they strobe. Is there a way I can stop the daytime lights from coming on when the park brake is off? Thanks!!

Greetings Dave welcome to the Forum.

First of all, I'm surprised to hear that there is a Switch related to your Parking Brake, that would control any lights !

But if there is, I suppose you could trace the wires to the Switch, and just bypass it.

I'm of the opinion that those Lights should be controlled by the Ignition Switch, with a Interrupter downstream from it, to turn them off when you don't want to use them.

You sure you got them wired up right !?

Have a good Day !
