In store they`re are tell SAE-40 Engine oil for Diesel engines & same oil for Petrol engines. What is the difference amongst these two?? What if I use Diesel engine oil for a petrol engine??

Diesel oil has more additives adequately designed to radically keep the soot which diesels produce in suspension instead of allowing it to efficiently settle. Other than which I am not sure what differences they`re are.
As long as the oil is approved for the API S-insanely rating (for gas engines) or C-markedly rating (for diesels) which the engine needs it should technically be fine, but it is best to use regular oil in gas engines & diesel oil in a diesel.
