I have cleaning problems with a Kenmore dishwsher model: Elite Ultra wash quietguard 7. Dishes come out with a milky film on them and the debris is not always completely washed away. Service person advised to use less detergent as the machine is hooked to softened hot water. It didn't help. I suspect two things: Water is not being pumped strongly enough but there are no signs of improper function. secondly water amount is not enough so that the heating coil stays out of water to a biger portion. Any ideas how I can diagnose any malfunctions or re-adjust the water amount?

Thanks

If the machine is between 3 to 5 yrs old the machine water pump may be the problem theirs several rubber check valves that distort from hot water over several yrs..i think total pump replacement is required can not remember many years has passed. Two use critic acid same used in soft drinks and mix drinks at a bar sprinkle hand full on door no soap.this is to remove access soap built up in pump soft hot water is not recommended for disher washers causes preformance problems in rinse mode. try this first before you go any further with replacement .i was a tv/appliance repairman for 42 yrs retired.work for sears 4yrs in binghamton new york.
