I am looking for a DIY patio cover kit. Somebody sent me a link to a instruction book but i am looking for an actual product. Has anyone installed a good product. I have found that aluminum are the best material because of the maintenace and durability. I would appreciate any leads.

I don't have a patio, but when searching the net I did see many 'finished products' photos. If, for instance, you look here (plz click) you will see some examples.

An ideal option i found was this cover that can open and close www.patiocover.us but has anyone installed this kind of thing before? I don't know if it will be easy or not and how it holds up.

Well, they write they supply the full DIY kit and help you through the process while building it. The clip they show at their 'installation' section doesn't seem that difficult...
