I have a desk that I have covered with a self leveling epoxy. Unfortunately, there are several tacky spots in the epoxy. The vendor says this is probably because I didn't use clean containers for the second batch and recommended that I use acetone to fix the spots. The acetone did not work and I'm now thinking that I might be able to fix it by using a paint on polyurethane over the top of the epoxy. Does anyone have any experience with this that they would be willing to share?

Thanks in advance.
