can I drill through bluestone for drainage on my patio? We are laying a large patio that is tucked into a hill (we live in a very sloped area) and the drainage pipe covers are pretty ugly. I'm wondering if it's possible to drill through the stone so it works almost like a shower drain. Any advice on how to do it, or if it would work at all?

you might be able to use a masonary bitt.take a small masonary bitt and drill a series of holes in a circle pattern the tap it out with a hammer.practice on a peice first before trying it on your patio.
