Dryer won't run in all positions.

Hi
My Kenmore dryer only runs if its in the touch up position, and then drys on heat for a couple of minutes and switches the the cool cycle.
It won't work at all on the timed dry position, and I was wondering what the deal was?
Timer?
or time for new dryer?

maybe not a new dryer, but maybe a new timer switch.
