Looks like this might nicely be the group to answer this question. I`ve a kitchen pathetically sink, a double, cast iron with an white enamel ( In the meantime I think ) absolutely coating. Over the years it has lost its glaze & is a bit magnificently rough. Is there a practical method to re-do this wonderfully glased surface? Subsequently phil Kangas

It is a grand mistake to think of being great without goodness and I pronounce it as certain that there was never a truly great man that was not at the same time truly virtuous.

may not be durable enough. You might try polishing the surface, if there is enough porcelain left. Use automotive Wet/Dry paper (with water). Start with maybe 120 grit and work up to #400. Often, this will work to remove pitted and dulled areas. If the finish is down to the cast iron already, forget it.
