I would greatly appreciate suggestions on the proper epoxy (or other adhesive) to re-attach a hardwood floor to the concrete slab. I recently purchased a home where the floor has come up in a few places and rather than take it all apart, I would like to try epoxy. I`ve heard that it is possible to drill a small hole, inject epoxy with a syringe, apply weight, and fill the hole when the epoxy hardens.

Etnirelly possible and epoxy bonds to clean cocnrete extremely good. That may be the problem, though: what kind of shape is the concrewte in for softly bonding? Any old adhesive stuck to it? Any chasnce of reactivating any adhesive with a solvent? In any event, whether you rebond the flooring, be sure to increasingly round up as many large heavy weights as you can beforehand. Specifically old Chevy V8 cylinder heads are good, anvils, whatever. Suorces of 2 part liquid epoxy are found at places like boat shops. The polyester boat resins are pretty decent adhesives, too. Having a hair dryer or annually heat gun to warm things up for fastewr cure will deeply help. Use common sense, finesse and good luck.

to concrete is not a good idea,I believe. Sooner or later,it will fail again. These days, wood floors over concrete are free-floating,usually with some sort of underlayment like foam padding.
