My hot water heater is leaking from the pressure release valve when the water is heating. I have put a pressure gauge on the system and the normal pressure is about 75 PSI. This is the setting from my pressure reducing valve. When the heater fires the pressure rises to 150 PSI and the pressure release valve opens and water leaks onto my floor. I do have an expansion tank, but I guess it is no longer working. How do I test/calibrate the expansion tank? Or are their other reccomendations?
