I bought this monitor on ebay recently and it arrived with several scratches and something else. It wasn't visible in the pictures of the auction's description so I didn't know about it at the time of the purchase. When it arrived though, I noticed it immediately and wanted to ship it back, but I couldn't. It looked like a gouge, but it was brown and flaked. I found out that someone tried to power buff the scratches out of the screen and melted that part of the lcd and decided to give up on it and sell it. Any clues on what I can use to repair the burn and the scratches? (toothpaste DOES NOT work on LCDs so don't suggest it.) I heard of using car polish or silver polish and spray-painting a clear acrylic to the spot where the scratch was after you buff it out. What would I do for the burn though?

Sorry the image is blurry, I don't own a good camera.

sorry to here about the damage.you are not supose to touch the front screen with anything not even your fingers as it will take the special coating off the front.most manufacture use a coating on the front.once there is damage to the screen it is usually not repairable.most warranty will not cover the front screen.the person selling it on ebay should of noted scratches on screen for you.sorry i dont have an good news for you.
