1997 ford t bird with the v8 was running fine then stoppped and would not start. checked for fuel pressure and had none. checked all fuses and all good. Dropped fuel tank and checked power to fuel pump and no power. Is there some kind of switch or something?

Not to familiar with the T-birds, but a lot of cars have main relays that when you turn the key activate the relay, sending power to heavier loads (like the fuel pump, and start solenoid).

I'd look into either a main, or a fuel relay first.

Did you check your Haynes/Chilton?
