just bought a 94' ranger 5 speed trany was swaped out for an auto
the truck runs and drives shifts fine BUT it stalls when you come to a stop
any body have an answer to this problem before i spend to much money on this truck and find out i have to spend a lot of money on this truck

yes the truck was not engineered for automatic theirs a connector for a lock out tourque convertor on automatic versions that is not on standard shift.the convertor is perma.in lock out condition and your stalling the motor with the brakes.how ever you might be able to buy a standard convertor with lock out centrifical clutch thats lock out machinically.ask your local tranny shops if their is a possibly to locate one.one that come to mind 1972 ford fairmount had a standard tranny with out lock out their might be away.you know wheres a way theirs a will look and see.
