Have you changed the throttle position sensor?
Or how about testing fuel pressure.
I prime it and it runs for a few seconds then quits. I believe it is pimping fuel into the carb but maybe not. Any help would be great and much appreciated.

most fuel pump shutoff switches are in the kick pannel on the passenger side.

Even though its a new carb, I would take it off and clean it inside, sounds like a lack of fuel.
I'm not a mechanic but if it were my car I would locate the fuel filter and check to see if it is clogged, if so replace.

Sounds like your fuel pump is starting to fail, tscapen. Have you checked this?
you will have to drain the tank somehow then clean and rinse its lots of times to get all the fuel out.

I suspect fuel problem. Injectors (leaking), pressure regulator (not holding), pump.
Thanks for the reply, however the smell is diesel fuel in a co-wokers car. He spilled some in his trunk and can't get rid of the odor.
